Next stop – Next09 / Hamburg

Thursday, April 30. 2009 | 12:33 | von Jan Sessenhausen

Next week a few of us will travel to Hamburg to attend this years next conference. This years topic is Share Economy – however I am not really sure how some of the scheduled sessions fit this topic. Building and maintaining customer relationships and brands seems to be the hot topic these days with lots of uncertainties resulting from the developments around social communities, twitter etc.

Here are my personal highlights from this years program:

Customer Service is the New Marketing  (Lane Becker, Get Satisfaction, Moderator: Robin Wauters, TechCrunch)

Future of Television (Stacey Seltzer, Joost & Darren Devitt, Vuze moderated by Axel Schmiegelow, sevenload)

Alles muss raus – Abverkaufsstrategien für Marken (Christian Heitmeyer, Brands4Friends & Frerk-Malte Feller, eBay, Moderator: Holger Schmidt, FAZ)

Viral online gegen viral offline. Was funktioniert besser? (Sven Markschläger, Jägermeister & Martin Oetting, trnd)

The Social Media Revolution: Audience Networks, Community, and Brand Building (Jeremy Allaire, Brightcove & Axel Schmiegelow, sevenload, Moderator: Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten, The Next Web)

Raimund Schmolze’s (T-Mobile) preparation for his speech "Mobile oder: Die wirtschaftlichen Konsequenzen, nicht mobil zu sein" probably took a little twist last week with the outage of T-Mobile’s network. Will be fun to hear his point of view and the crowds reaction ;)

In addition, it will be interesting to see some young faces in the Startup sessions.  I personally know a few of the folks that will present and I have seen some of the projects mature from conceptual phase all the way to the product they are today.  Really great work and keep up the great work and good spirits!

So, looking forward to meet some of you in Hamburg!
