ICH MARKE DU JANE

The first two days have just been gone at the CeBIT in Hannover and I am trying to collect and share the recent impressions, feedbacks, insights and experiences in order to give you first picture what is going on here.

We are located right at the heart of the "webciety" area in hall 6 of the CeBIT, next to the speakers and panels corner. This means all the web2.0 and new media interested people are passing by our booth and have the opportunity to learn about what Sapient is doing and what kind of services we offer. The eye-catcher is definetely the conceptual iPhone application demonstration with the name "swarmi" which includes the meaning of a fish swarm (collaboration) and our famous swamies we are using for making notes on walls for project purposes. The very entertaining flash animation which shows the whole story board of the planned application is getting the peoples attention and is a great cliffhanger to show the app via the iPhones, introducing Sapient globally and forwarding people to our experts for the various topics (Web Analyitcs, Scimitar, Semantic Web to name just a view) we are showing at all three parts of the booth. All these circumstances lead to a pretty good crowd visiting us and giving us the chance to strengthen the understanding what Sapient is like and what our capabilities are.

Being part of Webciety does also mean being part of blogging and twitter, because almost every second panel is touching the way of social communication and interaction. Because we just launched this blog you are reading we also started an addiotional micro-blogging channel at twitter.com/ichmarkedujane in order to support the blog channel but also quickly participate in interesting discussions within twitter. One can follow most of the times the twitter-dialogues through the huge twitter-wall righ at the panel area whereby you can follow the tweets for hashtag #webciety09 real-time.

From my point of view the event was already a success for the first two days and I presume that this is only a kick-off of what you can expect from us in the near future regarding the mentioned topics.

Additionally we are waiting some tremendous attention tomorrow and the next day while Freddie Laker from Sapient US (Director of Digital Strategy, Miami) is joining us at our booth and taking part in various panel discussions and interviews. Freddie and Rob Gonda joined Sapient a while ago and are the leading heads of the famous blog http://takemetoyourleader.com/. I am really looking forward for this additional attention booz and the following chats.

And last but not least we are celebrating our big booth party today at 1800 – if you have the time to join, do not hesitate – I am sure it will be a gorgeous party!

P.S. pictures are well saved on our digital cams, but because of the lack of web2.0 functionality of these devices we need to share the pictures after the fair.
